Valve confirms playoff dates for The International 2019 to be August 20-25th.
Just days after Vici Gaming had leaked the International 2019 dates on their weibo account, Valve confirms the dates provided are in fact correct.
With the playoffs scheduled from August 20-25th, it would easily mean the group stage is set to take place as indicated by ViCi Gaming from August 16-18th.
Valve is expecting to be able to provide information on ticket sales in the upcoming weeks. International fans planning on attending should also get started as soon as they can on the visa process to avoid any complications down the line.
The last DPC event, EPICENTER, is expected to take place June 22nd - June 30th. At that time all 12 invited teams will be secured and the qualifiers will begin.
Currently, only four teams have earned a place at the pinnacle of all Dota 2 events. ViCi Gaming, together with Team Secret, Virtus Pro, and Evil Geniuses have secured the required 3691 points so far.
