Shortly after falling out of contention at DreamLeague Season 11 Major, Mineski has parted ways with two of their players.
The DreamLeague Season 11 Major was not a favorable experience for Mineski. The SEA based team was eliminated only days ago, finishing in 9-12th place despite having a pretty solid run in the groups.
Today we announce the departure of Johan ‘pieliedie’ Åström and Yongmin ‘Febby’ Kim from our roster. Both Febby and pieliedie have been an important part of our lineup - Febby was one of the original members of Mineski’s 2018-2019 season roster, and with the addition of pie this support duo was a big part of our successful qualification to the Dreamleague Season 11 Major in Stockholm.
Prior to that, they had taken 5-6th place at ESL One Katowice 2019 and racked up a few minor event titles.
Although they only had one showing in any DPC event, they were ranked currently at 19 with their 150 points. Now, with a roster change, the points will be deducted for both players and the team will fall further down the ladder.
There is no word on who will replace Johan 'pieliedie' Åström and Kim ‘Febby’ Yong-min or where they will end up. The SEA open qualifiers for MDL Disneyland Major have kicked off today and will take place across all regions over the course of the next few days. The closed qualifiers will take place soon with the invited teams announced, including new rosters.
Yesterday Febby had posted a tweet "Looking for a team" that has since been deleted.
