For the first time, Valve's True Sight documentary of The International will be hosted and premiered in front of a live audience.
The International 2018 was host to one of the more thrilling grand finals and championship storylines in recent history. After unexpectedly losing two of their teammates in late season shake-up, OG was left picking up the pieces with nothing left but a song and a prayer. The European team made quick moves in order to keep their TI8 dreams alive and recruited former-OG player Anathan “Ana” Pham and relatively 'green' Finnish player Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen.
OG finished in fourth place in the group stages and managed to find themselves a place in the upper brackets where they then outlasted and outplayed their opponents in a surprising upper bracket run straight to the Grand Finals. Their journey was electrifying and the fans rallied behind them. As they took to the stage for the Grand Finals against PSG.LGD, not many can boast they anticipated what would come next. For the first time since The International 2013, the grand finals went to a Game 5. The matches were spectacular and the feels gripped fans around the world.
Now, fans will have a glimpse of The International 2018's championship team's journey and perspective through the long-awaited release of Valve's annual documentary, True Sight. This time, fans can watch and relive the moments alongside the team and other fans.
The broadcast will begin at 8:00pm CEST, to be followed by a Q&A session with attendees and the champions themselves—hosted by Kaci and PyrionFlax.[requote2]
The tickets to the live event will be available HERE starting December 25th.
