OG and Ninjas in Pyjamas will be representing the European region for the Bucharest Minor scheduled for next month.
The TI8 champions, OG, have returned to competitive play and seemed to breeze through the qualifiers for Bucharest Minor. Although they had a rocky start upon returning from a three-month hiatus and roster change following TI8, the team picked up the pieces and pulled themselves together quickly.
OG took the top seed of their group with a 4:1 record, dropping one game to The Final Tribe. They then went into the playoffs ready to rumble and cruised through undefeated, taking down Vega Squadron and then NiP in two consecutive sweeps.
NiP seemed to also struggle in the Chongqing Major qualifiers, and then coming into the Minor qualifiers revitalized and looking for results. The European squad went undefeated in the group stage to take the top seed as well. They then swept through TFT but were knocked to the lower brackets right after by OG. Taking on Vega Squadron next, NiP claimed the second slot with relative ease and dominance.
The Bucharest Minor will take place between January 9-13th 2019 at the PGL Studios studios in Bucharest, Romania.
