Team Serenity seize WSOE championship title

Team Serenity seized their first LAN title of the new season at WSOE after sweeping through J.Storm 2:0 in the grand finals.

Team Serenity stormed through the playoff brackets, taking down both The Final Tribe and J.Storm 2:0 in a show of dominance. Although the Chinese team overpowered their opponents with a display of dazzling plays and clutch moves, the matches were exciting and thrilling and not for the faint of heart. The victory clutching game took a whopping 75 minutes to close out and their shortest match in the playoffs was 42 minutes long.

The rising Chinese stars have been handsomely rewarded for their efforts - taking home the championship title and lion's share of the $100,000 prize pool.

Team Serenity’s success in the TI8 qualifiers came as a surprise for many of the fans across the world. Their lack of any notable achievements or even attention let them slip through the radar undetected and had many claiming they would be the next Wings Gaming.  Their playstyle was their own, as well as their meta, and the team impressed the community in no time.

They took a 9-12th place finish but for the first time as a team on the big stage, it was a commendable effort and result. The team made no roster changes for the new season and fans can look forward to seeing this team continue to grow and no doubt make appearances on the big stage.

Team Serenity roster:

China Jin "zhizhizhi" Zhiyi
China Zhang "Zyd" Quanda
China Zhao "XinQ" Zixing
China Xiong "Pyw" Jiahan
China Xiao "XCJ" Chaojian
