The compLexity Gaming roster has undergone their second change in the last half of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit 2017-2018 season. Rasmus “Chessie” Blomdin is out of the lineup and both Adam “Adam” Shah and David “Moonmeander” Tan have stepped in.
The North American roster first saw a dramatic change in their lineup in March, when the organization made the bold move to part ways with poster child Kyle 'Kyle/swindlemelonzz' Freedman. The change in roster not only shook up the team, but it also made them ineligible for a TI8 direct or regional invite.
Since then, the team was unable to clinch any more spots in the DPC events and took a dismal 9-10th place at EPICENTER XL after failing to make it past the group stage. They struggled to find the perfect fit in Kyle's absence and it made sense that more changes were required with nothing left to lose.
The second man to return, this time as a player, is Adam “Adam” Shah, who served as a coach for the squad prior to The International 7. Adam’s leadership and tactical prowess in Dota 2 make him the perfect fit to fill that void left after the removal of long time captain Kyle Freedman. The Malaysian strategist and former Fnatic player/coach looks to be the final puzzle piece for the team, putting the team on track for The International.”
According to the release, Moon will take over the offlane role and David 'Moo' Hull will return to the carry position.
More surprising it might seem, is the split of two more brothers within the team —Rasmus 'Chessie' Blomdin and Linus 'Limmp' Blomdin. The Swedes were always part of the iconic duos in the 'band of brothers' team starting in November 2015 and then again in their second round starting in September 2016.
