The first Major of the season is less than two weeks away and besides a great team line-up attending the event, ESL One Hamburg will have a star-studded broadcast team as well.

Three years ago ESL introduced one of the esports commentators and host pioneer, Paul "Redeye" Chaloner to the Dota fans with ESL One Frankfurt 2014. Last year, Valve brought from the CS:GO world Alex "Machine" Richardson to host the Boston Major which was his first ever Dota 2 event. At TI7, Valve have introduced Sean "Day[9]" Plott to the Dota 2 fans, a well known esports personality. Now, with the first Major of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit, Valve and ESL are bringing to the stage one great CS:GO events host and a BBC employee, Oliver James Borg "OJ Borg" D'Anastasi. While his day by day job is related to hosting and reporting sports events for BBC, Oliver James Borg "OJ Borg" D'Anastasi has also hosted the CS:GO events ESL One Cologne 2015 and Intel Extreme Masters Season X - gamescom.

ESL One Hamburg will mark OJ Borg’s  debut in the Dota 2 scene but a lot of familiar faces will be surrounding him to make his debut as smooth as possible. First of all, the Economics professor by day, Dota 2 statsman and LAN host at times, Alan "Nahaz" Bester is making a comeback at ESL events. Your most beloved commentators and analysts will also gather in Hamburg October 26-29. Tobiwan, Capitalist, Merlini, syndereN, still juggling with casting and competitive play, OD Pixel, Blitz, will all grace the ESL One Hamburg commentary desk.

Sheever, who is currently hosting the SL i-League Invitational Season 3 minor English broadcast, will travel from Kiev to Hamburg to be the event official interviewer.

ESL One Hamburg will take place at the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany October 26-29 and has a hefty $1,000,000 prize pool to offer to the participants and, much more important, a total of 1500 qualifier points for The International 2018.
