Alliance has completely dissolved their latest Dota 2 roster, releasing Adrian "Era" Kryeziu and Axel "Pablo" Källman. Jonathan "Loda" Berg will rebuild and lead a squad to wave the Alliance banner in the near future.
The announcement comes merely weeks after Alliance removed three members - Simon 'Handsken' Haag, mid player Linus 'Limmp' Blomdin and offlaner Jonas 'jonassomfan' Lindholm.
Shortly after TI6, Alliance made some drastic changes to their lineup by disbanding the TI3 championship team and forged into the new year with higher hopes. Unfortunately, those plans and hopes fell short in a disappointing and uneventful year. In June, just prior to The International 2017, another radical change was made in hopes of achieving greatness. Loda had put his gaming career on hold, bringing Adrian 'Era' Kryeziu on board to round out their new roster - one that looked very much like the Fnatic 2015 lineup. A devastating performance in the group stage dropped the Swedes into 8th place and ended their TI dreams.
For Loda, he was reminded of why he was still competing and what kept him going. A thought that led a reignited passion and new perspective on the future.
The new season is already knocking on the door with the StarLadder iLeague Minor kicking off the open qualifiers this weekend and PGL Open Minor open qualifiers gearing up in less than two weeks. Loda acknowledges that Alliance will not have representation at this events, but has assured fans it is only a temporary state.
