Team Freedom goes on a temporary hiatus

After failing to qualify for the Kiev Major, the North American team has announced they are taking a temporary break from Dota

Team Freedom have announced that the team plans to take a hiatus from their Dota careers today on their Twitter account, following a series of disappointing results culminating in failure to qualify for the major taking place in Kiev. The announcement comes as little surprise, with the team failing to produce any real positive results since the start of the season, and most recently getting knocked out by Team Onyx in the playoffs of the North American qualifiers for the Kiev Major. Previously, they had also failed to qualify for the ongoing Dota 2 Asia Championships, getting knocked out on that occasion by Digital Chaos.

Team Freedom's inactive roster:

United States Brian 'BananaSlamJamma' Canavan
Peru Enzo 'Timado' Gianoli
United States Michael 'ixmike88' Ghannam
Canada Andrew 'Jubei' Evelyn
United States Shane 'Eagle' Milke

The roster, which notably features the North American Dota star Brian 'BananaSlamJamma' Canavan as well as the former Team Liquid player Michael 'ixmike88' Ghannam, is expected to be back "soon", with "bigger things" in store, but has given no solid date for their return. It seems that only time shall tell what these big things are.
