While we are still waiting for the 6.89 patch to come, Dota 2 receive today a game play update, 6.88E bringing substantial nerfs to a lot of the current meta heroes.
Beside the actual abilities nerfs, two items heavily used by carries got their stats reduced:
- Dragon Lance strength reduced from 14 to 13
- Diffusal Blade cooldown increased from 2 to 4
- Mirana’s Starstorm Scepter cooldown increased from 8 to 9
For the core heroes that are constantly played in both officials and pubs, the most important nerfs are as follows:
Drow Ranger:
Base damage reduced by 4
Outworld Devourer:
Base armor reduced by 1.5
Juggernaut:
Base damage reduced by 2
Axe:
Counter Helix damage reduced from 90/120/150/180 to 75/110/145/180
Timbersaw:
Base strength reduced by 1
Faceless Void got his Time Dilation reworked to freeze abilities that are on cooldown, rather than also affecting abilities cast afterwards, while the slow / frozen ability was increased from 8% to 10%.
Two support heroes got substantially nerfed as well, Oracle getting his base damage reduced by 6 and Shadow Demon’s initial damage of Shadow Poison getting reduced from 50 to 26/34/42/50.
Riki and Kunkka, played in pro games as support/utility heroes and in pubs as full yolo carries got also nerfed as follows:
Riki:
Smokescreen slow reduced from 25% to 19/21/23/25%
Kunka:
Torrent damage reduced from 120/180/240/300 to 75/150/225/300
The only support hero who got buffed is Keeper of the Light, however the Mana Leak spam from level one will not be possible anymore.
Keeper of the Light:
- Mana Leak mana cost increased from 75 to 150
- Illuminate radius increased from 350 to 375
- Blinding Light knockback distance increased from 400 to 525
