The third and last Major for the competitive season ahead of The International 6, the Manila Major will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena between June 7-12.
Five months roster lockdown
The Manila Major shuffle is the last time when teams can make rosters adjustments for this competitive season. Started on March 7 and ending on March 27, 12:00 am PDT, the rosters will have to remain locked for more than five months, from March 27 through completion of play at The International 6.
The Manila Major qualifiers
The open qualifiers for the Spring Major will take place from April 29th to May 2nd, followed by the regional qualifiers that will start on May 3rd and will end on 6th of May.
Right after the Manila Major, in the second half of June, the regional qualifiers for The International 6 will commence while the International itself is scheduled for early August in Seattle.
PGL- the third party organizer for the Manila Major
Although the Spring Major is set to take place in Philippines, the third party organizer is PGL, Valve’s official representative for Europe. However, for this Major it is expected to see more commitment from Valve, who acknowledged the disaster that happened in Shanghai.
