DAC Wildcards - Na'Vi and HGT finish top, PR dominated

The Dota 2 Asia Championships have begun and the two remaining slots will be played out in the next 24 hours. Natus Vincere, Power Rangers, Wings Gaming, Energy Pacemaker, HyperGloryTeam and Speed Gaming will fight out who will play in the main event.

Natus Vincere and Hyper Glory Team are the two teams who have secured qualification for the next stage of the tournament. Natus Vincere were dominant through the majority of their five games, only losing the Wings after they put out a lineup that included Techies, Pudge and a carry Vengeful Spirit. Meanwhile Hyper Glory Team secured a last minute qualification in their victory over Energy Pacemaker which placed the team level on points with Wings, but were ahead on head-to-head rankings after their earlier victory. Elsewhere Power Rangers left it until the last minute to claim a victory after being comprehensively beaten in the majority of their games and exit the tournament with only a single point.

Power Rangers vs. Natus Vincere: 0-1

The Ukrainians turn a stable laning stage into an unstoppable roll. Power Rangers was unable to engage in teamfights and it was just a matter of time until Na'Vi pressed the issue, scoring a timely win.

Wings Gaming vs. Energy Pacemaker: 1-0

EP took an early lead but a few well coordinated teamfights from Wings equalized the game. A back and forth ensued in which WG slowly gained the advantage and pressured the EP base. Eventually, EP was unable to repel the aggression and called the gg.

Energy Pacemaker vs. Power Rangers: 1-0

Power Rangers dominated the laning stage and was able to secure early kills, but a tower defense gone wrong gave EP an ultra Kill on their Tiny that resulted in a 12mins Aghanim's. From there on out, PR was unable to take teamfights without trading unfavorably and it is EP that takes home victory.

Wings Gaming vs. HyperGloryTeam: 0-1

A game without many kills in which Wings Gaming looked to have an early lead, but HGT's movement around the map proved to be better and a farmed Juggernaut secured them not only teamfights but also the win.

SpeedGaming.cn vs. Natus Vincere: 0-1

Speed Gaming roamed nicely around the map and took away a lot of space from Na'Vi. The Ukrainians still found their farm however and managed to trade favorably. Xboct's Troll Warlord was able to farm up enough to be too much to handle for SG and Dendi's Earthshaker disrupted any initiation from the Chinese, securing a second victory.

Wings Gaming vs. SpeedGaming.cn: 0-1

The underdogs Wings started off with a solid laning stage in which they managed to secure early kills, but Speed responded with well coordinated ganks and steamrolled their opponents. Wings were unable to take any fight and lost map control and heroes by the minute, eventually conceding a loss.

HyperGloryTeam vs. Power Rangers: 1-0

The Chinese made quick work of PR, who once again never found a solid foothold and fell apart quite quickly. A splitpush gave them a glimmer of hope but HGT just pressed the issue and finished the game.

Natus Vincere vs. Energy Pacemaker: 1-0

Energy Pacemaker began strongly against Na'Vi, bringing out a combination of Naga Siren and Axe but the Ukrainians experience came through as they began to dominate the game after 20 minutes, with the Chinese unable to handle the growing pressure from Juggernaut and ensemble as they were eventually able to push into the base and force the 'GG'.

Natus Vincere vs. HyperGloryTeam: 1-0

Na'Vi were back in action HGT the closest rival in the group and the game was closely contested with yet another battle between Juggernaut and Axe. Just as HGT seemed they were going to pull away with a victory, Na'Vi won a series of team fights with a great performance from Dendi's Templar Assassin. From 30 minutes on, it was all Na'Vi as they dominated their Chinese opponents to rise to 4 wins out of 4.

Speed Gaming vs. Energy Pacemaker: 0-1

Energy Pacemaker set the pace in dominant fashion with a stand out performance from FaN's Tiny picking up 14 kills without a death as his team secured an easy 33 minute victory for his team to contend for the two available wildcard spots.

Wings vs. Power Rangers: 1-0

Wings kept the pressure up against PR to force them into a fourth consecutive loss. Wing's Shadow Fiend and Enigma combination dominated team fights, and with the pushing power from Naga Siren forced PR to call the 'GG' as they tore into their base to end the game in the 40th minute.

Wings vs. Natus Vincere: 1-0

For their final game of the wild card stage, Na'Vi relaxed and put out a lineup including Funn1k on Techies, Dendi on Pudge and a Vengeful Spirit with a Manta Style for VANSKOR. Na'Vi were able to pick up kills but unsurprisingly the pushing power from Lycan and Nature's Prophet guaranteed a victory to push Wings temporarily into second in the group.

Energy Pacemaker vs. Hyper Glory Team: 0-1

HGT were able to pick up a third victory in a fiercely fought game against Energy Pacemaker. EP were able to find success in the mid game as decent performances from Troll Warlord and Faceless Void kept them in the game, but some decision making against a tanky Viper cost them a chance at a wild card spot and instead HGT were able to eventually break down their base and secure qualification for the group stage.

Power Rangers vs. Speed Gaming.cn: 1-0

PR were finally able to pick up a last minute victory over Speed, forcing the Chinese team out of contention for the top two places. It was a long fought battle, but Ditya-Ra on Tiny and chshrct on Storm Spirit consistently their opposition, and after 25 minutes there was no coming back. PR still finish last, but at least leave the competition with a victory.
