Fnatic part ways with H4nn1, now without Dota Squad

Fnatic announced today that they were parting ways with the last member of their Dota 2 squad, following a failed restructuring process over the past 3 months. Kai 'H4nn1' Hanbueckers is now a free agent, and Fnatic are on the lookout for a new squad.

The future of Fnatic had been on the ropes after their underwhelming performance at The International 2014, which was already marred by the conterversy over Adrian 'Era' Kryzeiu's attendance of the event. In the post-TI reshuffle, Fnatic attempted to restructure their squad around H4nn1 and Trixi, while Era left to join Lajons, and supports Johan 'N0tail-BigDaddy' Sundstein and Tal 'Fly-Simba' Azik joined Team Secret

However, the team failed to materialise despite multiple trials and stand-ins, including a version known as the FinnStack - featuring Buugi, Matumbaman and ComeWithMe. However, the team split up again, with Trixi bringing his fellow Finns to create 4 Anchors + Sea Captain, while H4nn1 created a new team with the players of MyM.

In spite of the repeated attempts, the squad was unable to pick up and H4nn1 eventually stood in for Alliance's Chessie at StarLadder and DreamLeague, putting the Fnatic squad rebuilding on hold. With his departure, Fnatic no longer have any contracted Dota 2 players, and H4nn1 has also as a result returned to streaming on Twitch.tv.

H4nn1 had this to say on leaving the fnatic organisation:
"...I have spent a very long and meaningful time of my DotA and HoN career in Fnatic. From today onwards I will no longer be a part Fnatic. I will continue to play DotA 2 and hopefully find a new home soon. Shoutout to my old teammates Era, N0tail, Fly and Trixi. Never go full."
