The first group stage of DreamLeague Season 22 is complete. The recent format for DreamLeague probably has the most gruelling group stage, with literally half of the teams getting eliminated after Group Stage 1. Similar is the case with DL S22, with eight teams now advancing to Group Stage 2.
There were some unexpected exits in the first group stage, but the show goes on. The first day of Group Stage 2 has already been played, and there will be six more of those before the final four teams that battle it out in the small playoff bracket are decided. As the tournament continues, let’s take a look at the team and hero statistics for Group Stage 1 of DreamLeague Season 22.

Between BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 and DreamLeague Season 22, Dota 2 patch 7.35c was released. That has definitely stirred up the professional meta, which can be seen from the two most picked heroes, Tiny and Mirana. They were out of the meta for a while, but have been inching their way back, and are now popular picks in DL S22.
On the team front, things look to be shaking up too. Gaimin Gladiators no longer look to be the top dogs, as they barely made it to Group Stage 2 and lost their first series there against Team Falcons 2-0. BetBoom Team, Xtreme Gaming and Team Falcons seem to be the three favourites, although Shopify Rebellion could be a dark horse team.
The next week should give us some amazing Dota 2 action. Once DreamLeague Season 22 ends on the 10th of March, there is a bit of a break between the next premier Dota 2 tournament, which is ESL One Birmingham 2024 starting on the 22nd of April. We can probably expect the new Dota 2 hero Ringmaster to drop between the two tournaments!
