ESL announce the next iteration of Intel Extreme Masters, on this occasion the tournament will be held in Sydney, Australia.
ESL have announced the next destination of Intel Extreme Masters. The tournament series will be visiting Sydney, Australia this May, bringing CS:GO enthusiasts from all over the world to the iconic Qudos Bank Arena, formerly known as the Sydney SuperDome. The venue boasts a 21,000 unit capacity, allowing for an incredible amount of spectators to be present at any time. Not only have ESL picked a beautiful location for their tournament, they have also secured the title of Australia’s biggest ever eSports event, boasting a $260,000 AUD (~$200,000) prize pool.Â

A total of eight teams will be visiting Sydney, Australia this May 6th-7th to battle for the lion's share of $200,000. So far two participants have been announced: SK Gaming and Renegades. As it is still early days, the tournament organisers have not yet shared information regarding schedulling, tournament formatting or qualifier details, however we recommend you to stay tuned for further developments.
