Sentinels start their 2023 player roster rebuild by signing on zekken

The current roster is not offered new contracts after their current end this season.

A new day, a new sign-up announcement – this time from 2021’s best team Sentinels. It is not a secret that 2022 was not a good year for the team, with the roster did not manage to qualify for the recent Champions in Turkiye. Thus, it is not surprising that the team planned a roster rebuild for next year’s Ascension series.

The team announced on social media that they have just signed on Zachary “zekken” Patrone , while news of them also signing on Rory “dephh” Jackson is still circulating on the internet. The two are part of the successful XSET roster from last season that brought the team to fifth-sixth place at the recent Champions in Istanbul.

The signing of zekken follows the announcement that Sentinels picked up former XSET head coach Don “SyykoNT” Muir and former Ghost Gaming coach Adam "kaplan" Kaplan yesterday. The former will be on the team as head coach, while the latter will be the strategic coach.

Controversy erupted online when Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan discovered that he was not part of the active roster when the news popped up online – while he was streaming. Rob Moore, the CEO of Sentinels later clarified that he reminded him that his contract is not valid for the next season, and he is free to contact other teams for placement – making him an unrestricted free agent. Sentinel’s last played in an international-level tournament at Champions Berlin, way back in 2021.
