More girl power competing in the growing esports title
TSM has announced that they are putting in an all-women VALORANT team in the upcoming VCT Game Changers series. For the uninitiated, the Game Changers is a competition designed to elevate and create ‘opportunities and exposure for women and other marginalised genders’.
The team for TSM will be led by cath, and consists of
LunarKats, Emily ‘mle’ Peters, Zoe ‘Zoe’ Servais, and Mirna ‘Athxna’ Noureldin.
“This team represents the core values of TSM. We wanted the best players to build out our competitive VALORANT presence - and we found them. Cath is a veteran leader who has shown clear dominance in various matches since 2017. Athxna shows real prowess as an in-game leader, and with the raw skill that LunarKats, mle, and Zoe possess, I see huge potential for this team.” - Andy “Reginald” Dinh, founder and CEO of TSM.
“I'm beyond excited to join a well-established organization like TSM and bring my previous experience from CSGO into a fresh game like Valorant. My competitive drive never left, and I'm looking forward to competing again under the TSM banner.” - Cath
The team’s first match is set for March 19th in the VCT Game Changers Series I open qualifiers. This news is great, on the back of the news of more women-rostered teams and appointments into Riot Games itself is coming soon.
