... Who won?
Oddson reporting;
Game 1 - Limitbreak!!
First map out was Dahlia of Jungle with Fisheye @ 9 and Eriador @ 6. Eriador builds a hatchery at his inner expansion -> pool + gas.
Fisheye builds 1 gateway -> expansion @ 11.
Eriador followed Fisheye's probe with his overlord and found the expansion, he then techs speedlings and attacks early. Fisheye tries to guard the 3 bridges, without any success. Eriador manages to break loose and starts harassing Fisheye in his mainbase, while attacking the empty expansion with 2 zerglings.
While Eriador expands @ 7 Fisheye manages to kick out Eriador's zerglings from his main. Fisheye now starts to build up his main, and after a short while he moves out of his main and secures the 3 bridges, and expands @ 11 again.
Eriador starts to expand the entire map, while defending Fisheyes 3 bridges. Fisheye appears to have no hurry at all, he secures his expansion and starts expanding his inner expansion. For a long time they dont bother attacking eachother, but when Eriador reaches limit he drops a small army into
Fisheyes inner expansion.
Fisheye kills the drop, but Eriador drops the expansion again, and again. Finally Fisheye decided that he needed to move out, and he did. He managed to secure the bridges for a short time, then more backup came and he was forced back. While Fisheye was moving out, Eriador dropped his main again and slowly ate him up.
Eriador - Fisheye 1-0
Game 2 - Carrier vs Scourge!
Second map, Fisheye chose Paradoxxx! Fisheye at the top and Eriador at the bottom. Fisheye went for fast corsair build, and Eriador went for fast spire build (1 hatch -> lair -> spire -> hatchery).
After his first corsair Fisheye built a second stargate and started upgrading air-weapons. Fisheye flew around looking for some overlords to kill. Eriador tried to kill the corsairs with scourges and mutalisks. After some intensive harassments they started to focuse on their build-orders. Fisheye went for a third stargate and a fleet bacon!
Eriador was teching speed+transport overlords and expanded at the upper left expansion. Fisheye flew around constantly with his corsairs and he found the expansion quite early, but he didnt have anything to attack it with yet.
Fisheye built up an army of 6 carriers and a group of corsairs and attacked the expansion. While Fisheye was attacking, Eriador expanded at the bottom left expansion. With some nice attacks, Eriador managed to kill about 4 carriers with scourges.
Fisheye killed the expansion and started to attack Eriador's other expansion, but Eriador defended it well with a few hydralisks and lots of scourges. Fisheye fled to his main and Eriador expanded the bottom right expansion.
With a bigger army, Fisheye expanded at the upper right expansion and secured it before attacking Eriador's nearby expansion. After Fisheye killed the expansion Eriador met him in the middle with some devourers, mutalisks and scourges.
With some nice movement Fisheye killed most of the army and head for Eriadors only remaining expansion. Eriador defended it for a short time, but Fisheyes intensive attack made Eriador to give up.
Eriador - Fisheye 1-1
Game 3 - TvP @ Char ;>
Third map, Eriador chose Legacy of Char. Eriador @ 11 and Fisheye @ 5. Eriador went 1 fact + fast acadamy + siegeupg, and Fisheye went standard PvT buildorder (1gate + goonrange + gate + robo).
Eriador fast-attacked Fisheye with 2 tanks + 5 marines + 1 medic and some scvs. He bunkered outside of Fisheye and started to cliff his main, while expanding.
Fisheye dropped some units behind Eriador's army and attacked him from 2 ways, Fisheye killed the army easily and counter-attacked while expanding, but Eriador scared him away with his sieged tanks at his cliff. Fisheye withdrew his army and expanded at his second expansion.
After building up a decent army, Eriador tankpushed his way through the middle to outside of Fisheyes main. Fisheye flanked him and killed most of the army and forced Eriador to flee.
After building up his army, Eriador tried to push his was out again, but Fisheye pushed him back. Now Fisheye expanded again and started to build carriers from 2 stargates.
With a small carrier army, Fisheye made sure Eriador couldn't expand his island, and Eriador responded with a massive tankpush. The great forces of Protoss seemed to be too much for the Terran race.
Fisheye's zealot/dragoon/high templar army with carrier backup raped Eriadors army. And the german guy won against the norweigan guy.

A very, very even group. Really nice battles were fought in this group. Congratulations to Fisheye and Hellghost for their playoff spots, and credits to Eriador for being so well-mannered and a really nice player. More info about the playoffs are to be announced soon!
Furthermore, Paradoxxx and Char are NOT in the sGPL mapcycle. But since both players agreed on the maps, there will be no actions taken regarding that. However both players have been given a warning. Even though it was nice to see other maps being played, rules have to be followed.
