Team NOTITLE, the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) athletes of KSV eSports, lans to extend the team’s stellar winning streak at the World Championship PUBG Invitational at IEM Katowice.
KSV NOTITLE heads to the World Championship stage following a spectacular first place finish at South Korea’s AfreecaTV PUBG League pilot season finals last weekend. KSV NOTITLE dominated the competition in front of a packed house at the massive KBS Arena to take home $100,000 and bragging rights as South Korea’s first official PUBG league champions.
“The AfreecaTV PUBG League pilot season was a great first initiative and success for PUBG esports and fans in South Korea,” said KSV NOTITLE athlete Yoon “YoonRoot” Hyun Woo. “Our next goal is to elevate Korean esports, the KSV organization and our fans by competing and winning against world-class athletes on the international stage.”
Will KSV NOTITLE continue the winning momentum into the World Championship PUGB Invitational?
The event pits KSV against 15 other teams from Europe, North America and Asia, competing for a piece of the $50,000 prize pool in front of tens of thousands of fans at the IEM Expo. The diverse rosters and teams make for what is among PUBG’s first truly global contests.
“KSV puts all possible investment to help its teams compete, earn recognition and be successful at the global level,” said Arnold Hur, Chief Growth Officer of KSV eSports. “KSV athletes are among the most talented and professional the industry has to offer, and we look forward to showcasing NOTITLE’s skill and dedication to the sport at IEM Katowice.”
The World Championship PUBG Invitational will take place on Saturday, Feb. 24 and Sunday, Feb. 25 at IEM Katowice at IEM EXPO. The tournament will be played by 16 teams in 4-player squads in the first-person perspective. Next to nine invited teams from Europe, North America and Asia seven slots will be determined through open and closed qualifier, offering everyone a chance to make their way to the event.
