Valorant is officially coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Riot Games is officially launching its tactical shooter Valorant on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The console ports were announced during Summer Game Fest Live this weekend, featuring, “custom-built gameplay,” with cross-progression enabled and a, “connected, shared inventory,” between accounts across both PC and consoles. However, the console versions will not feature cross-play between Valorant on PC.

Here’s a gameplay trailer:

Riot Games officially confirms Valorant for consoles

Riot Games is launching Valorant on consoles, starting with a limited beta kicking off next week on June 14. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game will enjoy simultaneous updates with the PC version for all future balance changes, new agents, premium content, additional maps and other content. This means that whenever a new map or Agent launches in Valorant, everyone across all platforms will get access to them at the same time.

Before Valorant’s full console release, Riot Games is testing the waters with a limited beta. The beta will feature a slow rollout of maps and game modes starting from June to July this year. Here are the details:

Unrated, Swiftplay, Deathmatch:

  • June 14: Ascent, Bind, Haven, Abyss
  • June 25: Patch 9.00, Sunset
  • July 9: Lotus
  • July 23: Icebox

Team Deathmatch

  • All TDM maps

Customs

  • All maps

There’s one important thing to note here: the limited beta will only be available in the following regions on June 14: USA, Canada, parts of Europe and Japan. More regions will open up over the course of the limited beta, and eventually, the open beta too. An official launch date hasn’t been announced for Valorant’s full console release yet, but it doesn’t look too far off as of now. You can sign up for the limited beta here.

Alan Wake 2: Night Springs is out now on all platforms. Check out more announcements and trailers from Summer Game Fest Live here.
