All beastcoast players announce free agency

Following an underwhelming year that concluded with a disastrous TI 2023 run, beastcoast are looking to rebuild the Dota 2 team from scratch.

beastcoast entered the 2023 competitive year with a revamped roster after losing Jean Pierre “Chris Luck” Salazar and Adrián “Wisper” Dobles to Evil Geniuses in the TI11 aftermath. But despite the roster changes and the regional competition becoming more stacked with EG’s transition to South America, beastcoast managed to stay at the top in the Dota Pro Circuit season.

beastcoast were the top seed from SA through the first two DPC Tours and the second seed in the last Tour. However, they struggled greatly when it came down to international competition. Top 8 was their best Major placement this year, and that came only at the very end of the season, after replacing Hector “K1” Rodríguez in the carry position with David "Parker" Nicho Flores.

Their regional league success was enough to grant them a spot at The International 2023, but once arrived in Seattle for the most important Dota 2 tournament of the year, beastcoast were eliminated in the bottom four.

beastcoast players become free agents

With TI12 done and dusted last night in Seattle, all five players on the beastcoast roster announced their free agency on their Facebook personal pages.

“Open to new opportunities in any region,” ends each of the players’ posts on Facebook.

At the same time, the organization hasn’t made any official announcement besides that they will stay committed to the SA region while their players “are actively seeking for the right mix of talent and synergy.”  “Their pursuit of excellence reflects our commitment to SA Dota, and we'll continue nurturing our region's talent on the global stage,” beastcoast posted on X.

The five players and their former organization have about a month to search and make a decision regarding new rosters as ESL Kuala Lumpur is set to take place in December.
