Blizzard's free-to-play mobile game Warcraft Rumble launches next month

The latest Warcraft game is a free-to-play mobile app called Warcraft Rumble, and you can get your hands on it this November.

Blizzard Entertainment is finally ready to launch its new free-to-play Warcraft game: Warcraft Rumble. The strategy game formerly known as Warcraft Arclight Rumble will hit iOS and Android platforms on November 3, 2023, which happens to be the day BlizzCon 2023 also kicks off.

Here’s a developer update for the game:

Warcraft Rumble is a strategy game that tasks players with building armies out of familiar heroes and villains from the Warcraft universe and pitting them against other players. Armies are composed of Leaders, Troop minis and powerful Spells. Leader characters include fan favourites like Grommash Hellscream and Jaina Proudmoore, while the Troop minis are more typical grunt characters like Living Bombs and Core Hounds.

The game also has a single player campaign with 70 missions to play through, in case you’d rather avoid its PvP mode. You can join Guilds to earn seasonal rewards, play co-op with friends, take on dungeons and even do raids in this surprisingly content-packed game. There are more than 60 characters available to assemble armies with, and each character comes with additional abilities to use during battle. The core gameplay loop is not too dissimilar from other strategy and tower defense games like Clash Royale: use gold to deploy your troops, take down objectives and make your way to the final boss to clutch victory.

Warcraft Rumble is open for pre-registrations and pre-orders on Google Play and the App Store, and players will get a few mech-themed cosmetics if they sign up for the game early. While this game probably won’t whet the appetites of World of Warcraft players, they can instead wait for BlizzCon to kick off on November 3-4 to see what’s next for the MMO.
