The stop-motion series follows Haru, a concierge at a Pokemon resort.
During this week’s Pokemon Presents, Netflix and The Pokemon Company unveiled Pokemon Concierge, a brand-new stop-motion animated series coming to the streaming service. The show seems to be a laid-back take on the Pokemon world, following a resort concierge and her interactions with various guests, both of the human and Pokemon variety.

Pokemon Concierge is taking on an entirely different artstyle than the main Pokemon anime, partly due to its stop-motion animation by Dwarf Studios. Dwarf Studios has some history in producing stop-motion series for Netflix, having previously put out Rilakkuma and Kaoru for the streamer. The story follows Haru, a concierge at the ‘Pokemon Resort’, a resort populated by Pokemon guests, and her interactions with these creatures and their owners.

Vice president of Netflix content in Asia, Minyoung Kim said of the announcement:
Netflix is looking forward to delighting fans in Japan and around the world with ‘Pokémon Concierge,’ an entirely new visual and storytelling experience featuring ground-breaking stop-motion animation set in the Pokémon world in close collaboration with The Pokémon Company. We’re also excited to reveal this new series on Pokémon Day and provide fans with even more things to look forward to on this special holiday celebrating the popular franchise.
Tonally, it looks like the series will be a fun little slice-of-life comedy, with the concierge Haru having to deal with various Pokemon shenanigans around her resort. This week’s Pokemon Presents also revealed a two-part expansion for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
