ESL have announced the dates and venue for the LAN Finals of Intel Extreme Masters Season 11.
The tournaments will be taking place at the Spodek Arena and International Conference Center in Katowice, Poland, featuring three titles: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Starcraft 2 and League of Legends. In excess of $600,000 in prize money will be available for participants to secure across all three titles present at the event.
In terms of scheduling, the League of Legends finals will take place on February 25th-26th at the Spodek Arena, whilst Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Starcraft 2 will run during March 3rd-5th spanning across both the Spodek Arena and the International Conference Center.
Michal Blicharz, VP of Pro Gaming at ESL expressed:
Last March we thought we needed two arenas to really satisfy the number of people that wanted to the world’s best gamers compete at Intel Extreme Masters. We were obviously unable to construct a second indoor arena, so we’ve expanded the World Championship to take place over two major esports weekends.”
In addition to the CS:GO and SC2 LAN Finals, visitors can participate at the IEM Expo, where you can engage in various activities including free to play zones, meet & greets, concerts, raffles and more.
