In a match to possibly decide the best Dota 2 team in the Asian competitive scene, iG demolished fellow compatriots LGD in two back to back games displaying incredible form and understanding of the current metagame. DK, on the other hand, edged out an underperforming TongFu to take their series 2-0.

While fans were expecting a closely fought encounter between the two Chinese juggernauts, Invictus Gaming set themselves apart from LGD this afternoon when they demonstrated that the slow paced Dota 2 that LGD was so accustomed to playing could not longer fit in the current metagame.
They adopted the same strategy surrounding Bounty Hunter in the second game of the best of two matchup and LGD could not respond to the aggressive dives, permanent max movement speed and track gold that defined the entire iG lineup in both games.
Throughout the game, LGD was uncoordinated, forced to stick together and easily picked off by the brute force initiation of iG's lineup. If anything, the second game showed more of iG's prowess and level of understanding of Dota 2 that can possibly only be rivalled by European teams like Na`Vi. One notable mention was Chuan's Lina, who ended up being involved in 28 of the team's total 30 kills at the end of the game.

After carrying game one with Queen of Pain, Super took on Shadow Fiend in the second game in response to TongFu's Anti-Mage pick. The minus armor from Tidehunter and Shadow Fiend allowed TongFu's carry to be picked off with physical DPS throughout the game. On the other hand, Burning's Dragon Knight was slowly growing unstoppable with close to 40 armor and 3,000 hitpoints at 30 minutes (Assault Cuirass and Heart of Tarrasque).
While one-sided, the game showed how DK was able to exploit the slip-ups of TongFu and also how Chinese teams were beginning to experiment with heroes like Shadow Fiend and Keeper of the Light.
A Chinese team will not feature in the fourth playday tomorrow - Flash will play N9 at 09:30 CET while the tournament's sole American team Evil Geniuses will debut against Sequential at 14:00 CET later in the day. Meanwhile, check out vods of last night's matches.
