Twisted Treeline gets a complete overhaul

Since the days of Starcraft and Warcraft 3, players could use UMS (Use Map Settings) and Custom games to break from the exhausting monotony of grinding ladders and training.

It looks like Riot has decided how to break such monotony of their own by revitalizing Twisted Treeline and making it operate in a way that's fresh and balanced for the players. It's always good for games to have casual-competitive modes like Dominion to take a rest, and the more options the better. Here's some insight on what Riot has to offer with the Twisted Treeline remake available on the PBE.

"More viable team comps: the item shop on Twisted Treeline now boasts an arsenal tailor-made to support every role in 3v3 combat, and the terrain has been modified to make blink champions easier to hunt down
An improved jungle: We’ve replaced the random monsters with new, reliable jungle camps, and removed most of the upper jungle to focus the action towards the center where the jungler can gank both lanes
Faster games: we widened the choke point outside each inhibitor to prevent late game turtling and added a wall separating the shrine turret from the Nexus to stop players from pulling super minions into the laser beam
More awesome neutral objective: The Lizard Elder has been replaced by two altars that can be claimed for a team-wide buff, and Ebonmaw has been replaced by Vilemaw – an epic giant spider boss!"

Above is a screenshot of the graphically enhanced, yet dreary Twisted Treeline; a suitable makeover if I do say so myself. Ideally, we should also be seeing some new amateur 3v3 leagues popping up as they once have, and perhaps the map will be a legitimate new competitive outlet.

Remember it is still in beta, though it is said to be in the PBE as of this or the next upcoming patch, so make sure you check it out and give Riot feedback on what you'd like changed.
