iMpunity wins South-East Asia's Battle for Newerth

iMpunity has continued their dominance in the Sout-East Asian Heroes of Newerth scene by taking out Orange eSports Malaysia two games to zero in the Grand Final of 'SEA's battle for Newerth'.

In recent times the Garena HoN scene has exploded in user base and many new teams have been appearing. The Garena client has recently broken it's user base records with over 42,000 concurrent users. As for the Team Troll Casting Tournament (SEA's Battle for Newerth), it featured 128 teams, including some of the best known names in the region.

The Semi-Finals consisted of the more well-known teams such as iMpunity and Orange eSports Malaysia of who have both been competing on the international client to some extent. Super Fluffy Cave Bear and Highlight are lesser known teams to those of us from the international client however their skill is evident with Super Fluffy Cave Bear managing to take a game off Orange eSports Malaysia.

In the Grand Finals the two of the most well-known SEA teams came together with Team Impunity fresh off their 1st place finish at the Garena Star League they looked strong from the beginning. iMpunity has a different style of drafting than other teams such as Orange eSports Malaysia that opt for that ganking style. iMpunity normally plays with hard carry and turtling line-ups that have gone out of flavour in the international scene.

The prizes are something worth taking a note. Each of the top teams for this tournament will receive coins as there prize. With 128 teams participating for coins the potential and development within the Garena Heroes of Newerth community is obvious. The scene is also trademarked by that "never say die" attitude and most of the matches were not conceeded and played to the very end.
