WGT Finals approaching

As for DotA, a lot of new European events came to fore after the big offline tournaments WDC and SGNDT. The Chinese scene didnt sleep however as most of their pastime was spent, playing the World Gamemaster Tournament.

After an online held competition featuring groupstage systems in all games, the offline finals will go down in Beijing, China from the 4th to the 6th of January and include DotA, Warcraft III and Starcraft 2. The list of mostly national attenders consists of the best teams and players, the games have to offer.

The DotA heroes fought in five groups with the best team of each one advancing. The bottom three listed Nv.cn, Deity and Sunny recieved invitations due to previous achievements and fan votings, despite an earlier dropout. The fantasy races from Warcraft III battled in six, SC2's sience fiction races in eight groups, with the best two teams and first place only moving on.

The concepts of the tournaments are best of three, single elimination for DotA and best of three double elimination for SC2 and and WC3. A lot of prize money is up for grabs again; view below for the distribution.
