The reigning MLBB world champions have chosen the flash of miracle, Joy, as their M6 Champion skin.
ONIC Philippines (then Fnatic ONIC Philippines), the winners of the M6 World Championship and reigning Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) world champions, have officially chosen Joy for their M6 Champion skin. The Flash of Miracle was one of King “K1ngkong” Perez's signature heroes during the tournament, winning all seven games they played with the champion during M6.
MOONTON Games stated that ONIC Philippines have been given a chance to work with them as part of the perks for winning the M6 World Championship. They will help to develop the Joy skin that will best represent themselves to the MLBB esports community.
Paul Denver Lintag Miranda, Vice President for esports franchise of ONIC Esports and more commonly known as ‘Coach Yeb’, said in a press release that Joy is the one champion that ONIC Philippines have made themselves known for.
“Joy herself almost represents ONIC Philippines by her skills and color. Joy is one of K1ngkong's signature heroes and as I remember, when ONIC Philippines picked Joy, the crowd went crazy.”
Coach Yeb also shared that Joy embodies happiness and excitement, feelings the team wish to share with their community when they see the skin designed by the team.
"Her story is a reflection of our own journey: a relentless pursuit of greatness, filled with challenges and determination. After years of growth and progress, we finally reached the pinnacle of success together," he added.
Aside from Joy, MOONTON have also given Duane “Kelra” Pillas an opportunity to co-design a skin for his chosen hero Beatrix as an additional perk for winning the M6 Finals MVP award. Kelra's Finals MVP award from M6 also made him the first-ever player to win a Finals MVP award in three major MLBB tournaments: the MLBB Professional League (MLBB), Mid Season Cup (MSC), and the M Series.
The Gold Standard showed an out-of-this-world performance worthy of his title during his team's campaign in M6, and a Beatrix skin will be one of the ways to commemorate Kelra's historic run.
Kelra said:
"I feel happy and honored to co-design Beatrix. The FMVP skin that I will work on will help signify my legacy in MLBB Esports. I chose her because as a gold laner, I embody some of her attributes, like her ability to adapt and be precise when shooting the enemies,"
Before ONIC Phlippines, there are already five M series Champion skins released by MOONTON. For the M1 World Championship, EVOS Legends chose Harith. Bren Esports, who won the title twice, chose Lancelot for their M2 skin and Brody for their M5 skin. Blacklist International chose their signature Estes for M3, while ECHO co-designed a skin for Chou for M4.
