RRQ Idok sat down with GosuGamers for an exclusive interview about his career in MPL Indonesia and how the team works so fluidly right now.
RRQ Hoshi's
Said Ali “idok” Ridho was one of the most exciting young prospects in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Indonesia in Season 14, and his potential is now being showcased in Season 15.
Idok has proven to be one of the best roamers in Season 15 so far, having won the MVP of the Week awards in three out of the eight weeks so far in the Regular Season–with a fourth still in the cards for the last week. While he finally got his flowers this season, Idok's rise in performance was already shown in Season 14 when he helped bring RRQ Hoshi to the M6 World Championship.
Idok sat down with GosuGamers for an exclusive interview during Week 8 of the MPL Indonesia Season 15 Regular Season, where he talked about his performance in his two seasons with RRQ Hoshi so far and who helped him quickly adapt to the cutthroat competition in MPL Indonesia.
Idok credited Schevenko David “Skylar” Tendean as the one who helped him a lot during his transition to the top tier of competition with RRQ Hoshi. He revealed that the veteran used all his experience from the previous seasons to advise them on how best to play in the MPL.
“Last season, Skylar helped me so much to quickly adapt. He used his experience from the previous seasons to really help me and all my teammates like ‘this is how you play in MPL.' Skylar really helped me a lot."
In Season 15, Skylar decided to take a break from competitive play after helping the team muster a comeback from a disastrous Season 13 to become the runners-up of MPL Indonesia Season 14 and finish in the Top 6 of the M6 World Championship.
Khezcute is the secret behind RRQ Hoshi's Regular Season success

RRQ Hoshi's success in the Regular Season started in Season 14, where they dominated and finished first. When asked about their secret to the team's success in this part of the league, Idok said that RRQ Hoshi has their standard for scrims and gameplay. But without head coach Alfi "Khezcute" Nelphyana, Idok doesn't think he can be as successful as he is right now on the team.
He continued by saying that aside from Skylar, Khezcute was the other person who really helped him succeed in the Regular Season, even calling his head coach as “Abang” or "big brother" in Indonesian. Idok added that Khezcute has had a huge impact on RRQ Hoshi's performance because of the standard he set.
“Maybe because the gameplay and scrim have their own standard right now.,Abang (Khezcute) brought so much impact in RRQ Hoshi this season. He helped me a lot and maybe if there's no Bang Khezcute, I don't think I can be like this.”
Being a professional player is stressful, as even one of the best like Skylar needed a break from the competitive environment. One of the best ways to lessen this mental impact on them was to have a hobby. Idok admitted that outside of Mobile Legends, he didn't have too many hobbies aside from hanging out with his friends and just chilling around.
“Outside of MLBB? I like to just chill and hang out with my friends. Yeah, just hanging out.”
RRQ Hoshi will play their last matches of the Regular Season against Team Liquid ID and
Natus Vincere. While they would still want to win those games, they have already secured a slot in the upper bracket of the Playoffs.
