Falcons AP.Bren completed their revenge for MPL Phillippines S13 after they defeated Liquid EchoLiquid Echo in the Mid Season Cup 2024 in a 3-1 scoreline. This will be the first grand final in MSC 2024 for the two-time world champion.
Tension was already at an all-time high, and excitement could be felt when the crowd reacted to everything both teams did. Every gank was deadly, and every kill was made with clear intent, and every mistake was punished without mercy by both teams.
Michael Angelo “KyleTzy” Sayson secured his signature Ling and Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya on his Pacquito. Both teams' pickoff potential was extremely high, especially with those two heroes. However, the difference this time was a Julian pick from Angelo Kyle “Pheww” Arcangel. The heroes provided the follow-up potential that the rest of FCAP’s lineup lacked. In the end, Falcons AP.Bren secured the first game after KyleTzy's fantastic pickoff on Alston “Sanji” Pabico.
The second game started the same for both teams as the first game. Frederic Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales picked Karrie as the sole damage dealer, and Karltzy used a tank jungle. However, FCAP pressured the midlane with a Lilia and Lolita pick to counter Karrie.
With an advantage on the draft, FCAP struggled to open the gameplay early after a quick pick on Kyle’s Julian. However, the M6 champion quickly recovered with a fast pickoff on two. After that, there was a back-and-forth between world champions from the Philippines. However, with slow push and stability in all lanes, FCAP finished the match, ignoring the stolen Lord from Liquid Echo.
While Falcons AP.Bren wanted a clean 3-0 victory; Team Liquid Echo has another story for them in game 3. Sanford felt awakened from his slumber, and his Yuzhong controlled the map completely. However, the most different person in that game was Sanji and his Luo Yi, who perfectly limited the M5 champion movement, even stopping a backdoor attempt. By the end of the game, Team Liquid Echo secured Game 3.
FCAP, not wanting to delay their win any longer, pulled all the stops when they finally secured the Faramis for Pheww. The midlaner quickly made his presence felt when he stopped the damage from Liquid Echo’s player using his ultimate. Bit by bit, the pressure shifted to the cavalry position, and by minute 9, everything had crumbled down when FCAP secured a three-kill to end the series 3-1.
One team has already secured the grand final in the MSC 2024. Which team will join them? Will it be Selangor Red Giants or NIP Flash?
