Malaysia and the Philippines to meet in the MLBB SEA Games Grand Finals

It will be a heated rematch between Malaysia and the Philippines in a best-of-5 Grand Finals at SEA Games 2023, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

After two days of group stage and semi-finals, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang men's tournament of the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Phnom Penh, Cambodia has finally set the stage for the Bronze medal match as well as the Grand Final. 

Rise of the Malayan Tigers 

The Malaysian representatives maintained an undefeated record in Group A by defeating Laos, Vietnam, Timur-Leste, and the two-time SEA Games gold medalist, Team Philippines. With a powerhouse roster consisting of star players chosen through a comprehensive selection process, Team Malaysia has showcased immaculate gameplay with pristine execution and communications. 

Stitching individual starlets like CikuGais and Momo of Todak, along with other key performers in MPL Malaysia, the team has broken its own record by making it to the grand finals after defeating Cambodia in a thrilling semi-final. Sending the host country team to satisfy with only a bronze medal.

Third time is the charm for Team SIBOL

On the flip side, Pinas lang Malakas, as the Philippines has done it again to book yet another Grand Final appearance at the SEA Games. The team has secured gold medals for MLBB at the last two SEA Games, and they are looking for the third.

Bolstering the consistent squad of Bren Esports, which topped the MPL PH Season 11 regular season, Team Philippines fought tooth and nail against Team Myanmar in the second semi-final and ultimately outlasted the vicious Burmese Falcons.

Rematch for the precious gold

The Grand Final will feature a fierce battle between the two nations in a Best-of-5 series. Ozaraveki, the assistant coach of Team Malaysia said in the press conference, "We want to fight Team Philippines, and we will show them who is the King of Southeast Asia right now". 

While Coach Ducky of Team Philippines replied that, "[I believe] our team is the better team".
