T1 destroy FlyQuest to qualify for the Mid-Season Invitational Bracket Stage

The LCK have made a mockery of the LCS after T1 defeated FlyQuest in emphatic fashion to qualify for the Bracket Stage of the Mid-Season Invitational.

To almost nobody's surprise, it was T1 who came out on top over FlyQuest to become the first team from the Play-In Stage to qualify for the next round of the Mid-Season Invitational. T1 will join the four seeded teams already waiting in the Bracket Stage after It's relatively straightforward 2-0 victory over FQ.

This will now put the LCS team in the lower bracket of its respective group where it will have to wait for the winner between Estral Esports and PSG Talon. With this being only day three of MSI, T1 had already set a new record for the shortest game of the tournament, breaking the previous one that they also held against Estral Esports a few days ago.

T1's previous record stood at 25 minutes and 46 seconds and it has since been surpassed after the reigning world champions took just 17 minutes and 34 seconds to break FQ's Nexus. And to make matters worse, T1 held FQ to just a single kill in the first match that also happened to be the first blood for Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau.

From there, it was just all T1 as they began to take control of the game. And it was Moon “Oner” Hyeon-joon who ended the game with five kills, six assists, and zero deaths for his Viego. Aside from Oner being a constant threat from the get-go, Choi “Zeus” Woo-je was another thorn in FQ's side as his Ornn was a menace in the top lane as he contributed with four kills and three assists to go with a singular death.

If you thought T1 were going to loosen its stranglehold on the series, you thought wrong as they went into the second match with the same intensity from the first. While FQ would respond in kind by taking the fight to T1, they were still unable to fully take control of the game at any point. This was despite FQ getting 10 kills more than they did in the first game but it still wasn't enough.

And at the helm of T1's dominance in game two went to Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong as his Kalista got heavily involved from the early game onwards to deliver 14 kills and six assists to go with zero deaths. Even Sang-hyeok “Faker” Lee's Taliyah took up a more supportive role to allow Gumayusi to really thrive and see of FQ in style.

We will now head over to Group B's upper bracket final between Fnatic and China's very own Top Esports. This will determine the second team of the day that will qualify to the Bracket Stage.
