Hanwha Life Esports lead the charge after week 1 of the LCK Spring Split

The LCK Spring Split is keeping things tight after Week 1.

After five days of back-to-back best-of-threes, we are finally done with the first week of the LCK Spring Split that saw Hanwha Life Esports take a resounding lead after clean sweeps against DRX and Kwangdong Freecs. Close behind them are reigning champions Gen.G Esports alongside KT Rolster, who are currently tied for second.

Reigning world champions T1 faltered on the first day with a 1-2 loss against Gen.G but managed to right their wrongs with a 2-0 win against KDF to keep them tied in fourth alongside Dplus KIA, who also had similar results in their win against BRION as well as their loss against KT.

Both FearX and Nongshim RedForce are tied for sixth with the same scoreline after both teams also had similar results, which were a 2-0 win and a 0-2 loss. Lastly, The likes of BRION, DRX, and KDF make up the bottom three after losing both matches during the opening week.

While HLE had managed to make a statement in the first week with clean 2–0 wins across the board, it was against teams that eventually sat at the bottom of the table. It's following two games this week should prove to be a greater challenge as one of it is against T1. Speaking of the four-time world champions, they will also have their hands full this week as they will play KT before their match-up against HLE.

As for the undisputed LCK champions, they will have a tricky series against Dplus to look forward to, but not before their series against BRION, who will have a chance to get some wins on the board when they play against DRX later on in the week. Dplus will have the pentakill to tide over its troubles of week one after some great work from its AD carry against BRION in the first game.
