LOUD set up rematch against PSG Talon in Group A of Worlds 2023

It got LOUD in LoL Park to end day one of Worlds 2023.

The CBLOL champions LOUD put on a dominant display against the kings of the VCS, GAM Esports to end the first day of the League of Legends World Championship. With that win, LOUD has set up a rematch against PSG Talon in the winner's series a few days from now.

If one can recall, it was PSG who sent LOUD home during the Mid-Season Invitational earlier this year so the Brazilian org will be looking to exact some revenge at Worlds 2023. As for GAM, they still have one more chance in the elimination series against Rainbow7.

Game one was a fairly one-sided affair for LOUD who managed to take control from early on to not give GAM any room to catch up. The bottom lane duo of Moon "Route" Geom-su and Denilson "Ceos" Oliveira went particularly rampant throughout the match as both players put up outstanding KDAs.

It was also Route's official debut at the world championship and he had the perfect start with 11 kills, zero deaths, and five assists. That also included his first pentakill of his career as well as the first at Worlds 2023 to end game one in some style.

However, GAM would prove to be a much tougher nut to crack in game two as the undisputed VCS champions brought plenty of fight during the mid-game with some great teamfights as well as a key dragon steal from Duy Khánh "Levi" Đỗ. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to get them over the line as LOUD managed to pull back in the late game with some clutch plays from Leonardo "Robo" Souza.

LOUD will now go up against PSG Talon in a rematch for the CBLOL champion's exit at MSI earlier this year. This series will determine who moves on to the second round of the Play-In Stage and who drops to the deciding series of Group A.
