Season 3 world champion Chae "Piglet" Gwang-Jin, formerly the star AD carry of SK Telecom, has joined the ranks of NA LCS team Curse Gaming, says team's official website. Piglet will be partnering on the bot lane with Alex "Xpecial" Chu.
A sextuple gold medalist, including trophies from the Season 3 World Championship, Champions Spring, Champions Summer, the Season 3 Korean regionals, 2014 Champions Winter and All-Star 2014, Piglet was voted the best AD carry of 2013 and before the Summer of 2014 he and his SK Telecom K were riding a huge momentum.
In April 2014, the team's results took a downward trajectory and the world champions failed to pass Champions' quarter finals twice in a row. Despite winning the All-Star tournament in May, experts were worried about SKT's form and with good reason - after a loss to Najin Shield in the S4 Korean regionals, the world champions were left out of the 2014 Worlds campaign.
Two weeks later, on September 17th, the organization decided to release the bot lane duo of Piglet and PoohManDu. While the latter decided to call it quits from competitive League, Piglet announced he'd go on to look for another team.
Last night, it was revealed that this team would be Curse Gaming as Piglet was signed as the new bot lane partner of Xpecial. In his welcoming interview, the Korean star carry said it made sense for him to leave Korea and purse a career in the west, due to foreign team's generally having better offers than Korean ones and the persistance from Curse's management.

LoL players have a very short lifespan. So it’s an obvious decision for them to look for look for teams with good conditions and offers. And since Foreign teams have better offers I see no reason to decline their offers.”
