Team Coast Announces Totally New Roster

Re-forming after falling out of the LCS at the hands of Complexity, Team Coast has returned with an all-new new roster.

The change comes after Coast lost its star solo-laners, Darshan “ZionSpartan” Upadhyaha and Danny “Shiphtur” Le to Team Dignitas after their relegation while jungler Joshua “Nintendudex” Atkins left the team after facing heavy criticism from fans. The bot-lane duo of Apollo “WizFujiin” Price and Miles “Daydreamin” Hoard have also been released from the team with the organization wishing them “luck on all their journeys to come”.

The new team features many players with experiences in both the Challenger Scene and the LCS, including long-time Curse Academy top-laner Keenan “Rhux” Santos, former XDG Gamings support Jaime “Sheep” Gallagher and Greyson “goldenglue” Gilmer, who came to fame playing for Complexity Red and most recently replaced William “scarra” Li on Dignitas for the last half of the 2014 NA LCS Spring Split.

Also returning to the team after a year is Brandon “DontMashMe” Phan, who left Team Coast following the 2013 NA LCS Spring Split due to team disagreements – but now that the roster is totally revamped, DontMashMe has once again found his way back to the Coast organization.

The final player is Lucas “Santorin” Larsen, a European Challenger scene jungler who most recently played for Cloud 9 Eclipse but is most well-known playing for The Fox Sound and Intellectual Playground.

Coast also revealed that former Team SoloMid AD Carry Shan "Chaox" Huang would become the team's new coach. Chaox, who was a competitive mainstay in Seasons One and Two, has returned to the competitive scene after a year of streaming and speculation regarding his future. While he is not playing, his experience should be a valuable asset from the coach position.

Team Coast is currently participating in the NA Challenger Series and is set to face of against Curse Academy on Sunday, June 15th.
