IET Quarter-finals concluded, EDG makes it to grand finals

The results of the large tournament directly following the end of the spring LPL groups have set the semi-finalists in their place.

Despite the season of LPL ending, 7 of the 8 LPL teams have seen no break and have gone straight back to the hustle.  We. Academy had the chance to live up to the hype surrounding them in their matches against EDG and Positive Energy.  While WE Academy were able to take a win against Positive Energy, it certainly was not convincing, and they later went 0-2 against the powerhouse of EDG.

EDG also had the opportunity to rematch Energy Pacemaker, which went in heavy favor of EDG.  Utilizing a strategy to camp top lane's AmazingJ, EDG were able to snowball a monumental lead and then push for the win.  While Energy Pacemaker put up a much stronger fight in the second game, EDG still prevailed and closed out the set 2-0.

Following this match, OMG had a standoff against World Elite.  World Elite started out incredibly strong and nearly took the set to a 2-0.  However, in the middle of the second game, OMG completely changed their play and managed to capitalize, taking the next two games of the set.

Royal Club, while they looked pretty good in the final week of LPL, Invictus Gaming has looked like a brand new team and it showe showed in this set against Royal Club.  Now, if Invictus Gaming defeat OMG, EDG will face them in the finals, and if not, they will face OMG.
