After starting the game 0-4 against Fnatic, SK Gaming stepped up their game showed that they could take out the kings of Europe in a back and forth brawl.
SK vs. FNC
In the launching "el classico" match of the EU LCS, Fnatic anticipated SK's lane swap when SK tried to 2v1 with a Vayne lane. Both junglers were on opposite lanes, but couldn't follow through with anything to give a distinct advantage. After several attempts at failed ganks, xPeke does not disappoint and grabs a dragon after a first blood. Things were continuing to look bad for SK as Fnatic stole everything from the top side of the map, including the top turret, and two kills on Rekkles.
SK Gaming managed to find a comeback and actually pull ahead in gold at 18 minutes, catching up in kills and getting Jesiz fed. The game continued on to be incredibly close with SK having trouble finishing fights, despite their prolonged dps being better than the bursty nature of Fnatic. CandyPanda's split pushing allowed SK to grab baron. Eventually SK's lead was too great in towers and gold, and SK continued Fnatic's losing streak.
CHW vs. SHC
In the second game, it was an all out brawl between the two teams. The first blooded became the first blooders as Cophenagen Wolves was able to kick off their game with a promising start. It wasn't until later that Supa Hot Crew was able to even out the odds. Eventually, the AD brute force from Supa Hot Crew showed it's advantages over Copenhagen Wolves.
As the game proceeded on, Supa Hot Crew displayed a superior control of the midgame and objectives. A big swing around 25 minutes enabled windows to open for Supa Hot Crew and showcased Copenhagen Wolves' difficulty in closing out games. It wasn't long before Supa Hot Crew was knocking at the doors of CHW's inhibitors, taking another game off of them.
