GosuAwards 2012: Best AD Carry

ggawards%20new.jpg

We introduce the GosuGamers Awards for 2012, the first edition for League of Legends. We have analyzed the best potential candidates to choose from and it's up to you to decide who reigns dominant over the others and stands out as the best AD carry in the rift.

United States Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng

DoubleliftAward.jpgWhat better way to start the list with the mechanical monster and the current celebrity flavor, Doublelift? (Everyone else is trash anyway, right?) Doublelift needs little introduction and especially before the Asian teams has developed unprecedented micro. Though his map awareness may be his shortcoming, he more than makes up for it with his phenomenal play and has found himself in the spotlight repeatedly with the plays on YouTube.

Being the strongest mechanical AD in North America and arguably the world gives Doublelift a well deserved spot as a top AD.

China Gao "Weixiao" Xuecheng

Little did he know he'd soon be rivaled by a superb Chinese player by the name of Weixiao. Though having been around the League for awhile, Weixiao's display of impressive talent truly debuted at the Season 2 World Championship, where together with 'Fzzf' they absolutely crushed the opposition. World Elite would then showcase his repertoire of skills in the IGN Proleague 5.

With the most recent performances, Weixiao rightfully deserves a spot for the Best AD Carry.

Germany Peter "Yellowpete" Wuppen

YellowpeteAward.jpgTo some, this one might be debatable. However, statistically speaking, Yellowpete has some of the most consistent results which already puts him ahead of other carries. Where he's weak in CS score and had a moment where he was predominantly refered to as "YOLOpete" due to his positioning in teamfights, Yellowpete is a force to be reckoned with on CLG.EU's roster.

Yellowpete has had great showings with the likes of Tristana and Kog'Maw as well as having great game knowledge and awareness of summoners, which puts him in a deserved spot for top AD Carry.

Sweden Martin "Rekkles" Larsson

b9516c0ca6060c7ab270c2610f881c8d256eaeb5f361ccb011ea6d5514.pngRekkles has shocked users around the globe with the fierce playstyle he has developed at such youth. Specializing in Ezreal, he shows great talent and performance with every other AD on the radar as well and is no one-trick pony.
Rekkles has been an absoluely critical asset to Fnatic's success and is fundamentally strong, synergizing very well with nRated in the bottom lane. It is difficult to find a weakpoint in Rekkles, which would make him expert of many, master of none.

Regardless, it's very rare if not impossible you will find a match where Rekkles pinpointed himself a weak player. He's always held his own and excelled even against the most powerful bottom laners at the ripe age of 15, making him a viable choice as Top AD Carry.

Korea Kang "CptJack" Hyung-woo

98e56ac532b00d30619318043eedba3898c6cecf9af6bc0b2c64be5fff.jpgDespite what the name might suggest, CptJack is not a formidable Gangplank player (that we know of.) Instead, he has shown one of the strongest elevations of skill in 2012. Not really remarkable or noteworthy looking back at the Spring Championships, CptJack has proven himself as a strong AD carry with strong practice and focus. Bursting onto the scene as a popular AD carry in Azubu's "The Winter", MLG Dallas, and IGN Proleague 5. Allegedly, he also looks up to Weixiao and perhaps much of his playstyle is influenced by that.

With that said, he utilizes that knowledge well and has grown largely as a player to really put the "Oomph" into Azubu Blaze. This rewards him a definitive spot as Top AD Carry.

United States Micheal "Imaqtpie" Santana

c06e04765a819a42c2d60c965e44dac6de5984f3dcaa593412d901f33a.jpgOften overshadowed due to lacking the charismatic infrastructure to take off in popularity, let's not undermine the skill of Imaqtpie. Imaqtpie rarely, if ever, loses lane when in a standard 2v2. Often times, he will be the strongest player on Dignitas in a match gone unnoticed. Once only a player of non-traditional carries such as Twitch, Ezreal (when he wasn't "viable"), and Urgot, Imaqtpie transitioned well into his team's need of AD carry play and rarely loses in farm or kills to the enemy AD.

For being as underrated as he is for being a top NA performer, Imaqtpie gets a definite mention as a Top AD Carry.

Canada Shan "Chaox" Huang

ChaoxAward.jpegChaox is no stranger to those in the North American scene. He also had fanclubs in China before the scene had erupted there. Known to do his job efficiently and consistently, Chaox almost never lets TSM down in their most triumphant of times. Chaox is one of the only AD's that not only has the mechanics to fulfill his role, but also acts as a captain and theorycrafter in TSM, bringing up most of the strategies and judging what's best for the team in the drafting phase.

Capable of playing almost anything in any given scenario, Chaox deserves to be a contender for top AD carry.

Taiwan Cheng "Bebe" We

One of the most underrated and overshadowed AD's, Bebe almost never gets outlaned and has outstanding positioning when it comes to teamfight phase.

Bebe undoubtedly deserves some recognition, and also to be a viable contender for top AD carry.
