Are you ready to turn pro?
Just a couple of weeks ago, we spoke about the current top meta Champions in League of Legends that you should use if you want to climb the leaderboards. Now, we're going to kick things up a notch.
Today, we'll be focusing on all the top picks from across the various regions in LoL. This is because of the vastly different playstyles, strategies, and mentalities across the regions. What's great is that during bigger tournaments like MSI is where you can see these contrasting playstyles going up against one another.
With each region focused on its own styles and strats, it does get quite interesting when one dives deeper. What makes a certain Champion a top-tier pick but in other regions, it's not even a worthy mention? We'll be taking a look into all that and more when it comes to the top picks and bans that are currently in trend.
SEA & East Asia
In the region of SEA and East Asia, we will be covering the current PCS 2021 Spring season, which features 10 of the top teams from around the area. With 14/15 games already being played, teams from both Southeast and East Asia have picked 47 Champions in total with Kai'Sa being picked 10 times, the most of any Champion.

The table above shows the top five picks from the PCS 2021 Spring season. However, the only anomaly is from Renekton, who has been picked a total of eight times with a 75% win rate. While the Daughter of the Void is still the most top picked hero in the game, it just goes to show that she isn't totally viable in all playstyles and strats.
South Korea
For years now, South Korea has been known as the land where League of Legends just as much outshines Starcraft II. Currently going through the LCK 2021 Spring season, it features 10 of the top South Korean teams who have also played 14 to 15 games so far. Much like the SEA region, South Korea also prioritises Kai'Sa a lot with 116 games played.

As you can see, the Daughter of the Void is the most popular pick amongst Asian teams. Gnar also makes it into the top five once again with a slightly better win rate as compared to SEA. Orianna and Syndra also show off their prowess on the battlefield, commanding more than a 50% win rate.
Vietnam
While part of Southeast Asia, Vietnam has its very own tournament series known as VCS. The VCS Spring 2021 season is currently underway, featuring eight teams in total, which also includes the likes of international esports organisation, Team Secret. Kai'Sa once again dominates the charts here being the top picked Champion with 34 games in total.

Aside from Kai'Sa being the top picked Champion, Gnar makes it onto the list once more as well. Renekton, Galio, and Lillia also have great win rates ranging over 50%. This makes them viable picks for the future as well. However, that is also dependent on your playstyle.
China
Moving over to the Middle Kingdom aka China is the LPL Spring 2021. Given the Chinese population within the country itself as well as its prowess in the esports industry, China has become a powerhouse over the past decade or so. There are 18 teams in total taking part in the LPL Spring 2021, but its top picked Champions stats are still very similar to that of the rest of Asia.

The playstyles in China are slightly similar to South Korea, featuring three of the same Champions out of five. Of course, Kai'Sa tops the list once more, being picked a total of 137 times with a 59% win rate. Gnar and Orianna also have great win rates, showcasing their ability in being able to win matches with relative ease.
Europe
Moving over to EU who are currently battling it out at the LEC Spring 2021 season. But even if it's on the other side of the world, it doesn't stop teams from picking Kai'Sa once more as the Daughter of the Void once again comes out on top with a total of 52 matches played.

Alistar, Lillia, and Orianna are just some of the names that were already mentioned in the earlier tables of South Korea and Vietnam. With that said, it's somewhat surprising to see that EU playstyles are slightly similar to those around Asia. Of course, Kai'Sa has been the top pick across all major regions so far and she has yet to disappoint.
North America
All of NA is currently glued to their screens, thanks to the on-going LCS Spring 2021 season. Now in its mid-season showdown, we take a look at the top five picks to come out from NA and lo-and-behold, Kai'Sa reigns supreme once again as the most top picked Champion, playing a total of 56 games.

Rell makes an appearance once more in NA as well as EU, which goes to show just how much they value the Iron Maiden. Alistar is also on the list, which means that the Minotaur is viable in plenty of regions. Of course, there isn't much left to say about Kai'Sa that hasn't been said already.
