It’s Barnes reimagined as a Pandaren.
Almost half of the Mean Streets of Gadgetzan has now been revealed, with 58 cards already shown. The latest reveal includes [card]madam goya[/card] a new neutral legendary unaffiliated with any gang.
Mada Goya is a 6 mana 4/3 minion with a curious battlecry: It swaps a friendly minion with a random one in the deck.
The effect is clearly polarized and can go either very bad or very good. The battlecry itself can be used to save a valuable minion from dying so you can get to replay it later down the road – which is great – but the swap effect is what makes the card risky. Obviously, getting a big minion from it, say, [card]Tirion Fordring[/card], [card]Sylvanas Windrunner[/card], a Ragnaros, and so on, is great, but pulling a minion with no or low impact just to feed it to the enemy could prove detrimental.
Thus, Madam Goya is somewhat similar to [card]Barnes[/card], though it loses a lot of value on an empty board (4/3 for 6 is way below desirable) and it comes a bit later down the curve. Goya still could find place in archetypes with big threats as cheating those out earlier than expected could lead to game-winning tempo swings.
