Details mined from the 4.2.0 patch reveal the leader of the Blood Knights will be playable in Hearthstone as part of an upcoming World of Warcraft promotion.
Along with the expected nine-additional deck slots and ‘Whispers of the Old Gods’ 50-pack pre-order, the freshest Hearthstone patch has brought with it a surprise new Paladin portrait: the original Blood Knight herself, Lady Lyadrin. As of right now you can’t play as this alternate hero, instead she will be obtainable through a future World of Warcraft promotion. Interestingly this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Lady Lyadrin appear in Hearthstone; a piece of card art depicting her was previously used for the basic minion [card]Shattered Sun Cleric[/card].
Another item of note from then new patch is the ‘Deck Recipes’, which instantly equip you with a premade-set of 30 cards (providing you own all the ones listed). With three choices per class and little explanations of how each deck is supposed to work, this is a fairly decent addition for newcomers, although it is comical that the blatant ‘Face Hunter’ build has been named ‘Thrill of the Hunt’. Other minor additions include new card backs for preordering Overwatch and Old Gods, UI warnings regarding the Naxxramas and GvG expansion departures, and the new Thai localization option.
