ESPN Will Air Live Tape Delayed PCA Final Table

For the first time ever, ESPN2 and ESPN3.com will be broadcasting the final table of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in January, in real time and completely unedited.

ESPN3.com will begin HD coverage with a one-hour, unedited delay at 5 p.m. ET Jan. 15 with ESPN2 HD joining in with a simulcast beginning at 10 p.m.

"This is one of the most exciting announcements ever in televised poker," said PokerStars.net North America Regional Marketing Director Joe Versaci.

"This is the first time people watching online or on TV will be able to see everything that happens at a poker table. So much happens in poker that never makes it to the final TV edit, but this will show exactly how top-level players go about winning a massive tournament.

"There’s so much money on the line – it’s going to be gripping.”

The January PCA series has become the biggest tournament in the world after the annual WSOP in Las Vegas. Tournaments will be running for several weeks.

The $10,000+$300 PCA main event runs Jan. 8-15 at the Atlantis Hotel and Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas and organizers are expecting a prize pool in the $20 million range with a $2 million first prize.
