Enter the Gungeon 2 announced for Nintendo Switch 2 and PC

Enter the Gungeon 2, the sequel to the beloved roguelike bullet-hell game, has been announced for Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.

Enter the Gungeon 2, the highly anticipated sequel to Enter the Gungeon, has finally been revealed! Dodge Roll and Devolver Digital announced that the game will be available for Nintendo Switch 2 during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct presentation. The game will also be available for PC, as its Steam page is already up when this article was published.

The game is projected to be released in 2026. However, the exact date will be announced in the future. Check out the teaser trailer from the official Devolver Digital YouTube channel:

One of the most striking changes in Enter the Gungeon 2 is its transition to a 3D art style. Unlike its predecessor’s pixel-art aesthetic, the sequel introduces fully rendered environments and characters. However, despite the shift, the game's core mechanics remain intact. Players can still do the signature dodge-roll through waves of projectiles, collect weapons and upgrade, and most importantly, die and restart the dungeon (or Gungeon) all over again.

The sequel introduces new weapons, enemies, and gameplay mechanics, ensuring that veterans and newcomers have plenty to explore. Some key additions include an expanded roster of Gungeoneers with returning favorites and new faces, dynamic enemy interactions, procedurally generated levels, and new passive and active items.

Enter the Gungeon 2 will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 and PC through Steam. While an exact release date has not been confirmed, the game is expected to arrive in 2026.
