FromSoftware's next game The Duskbloods announced for Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo announced that The Duskbloods, a new game from FromSoftware, is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2.

Nintendo announced The Duskbloods, a new franchise from FromSoftware, the creator of the Elden Ring and Souls franchises. The announcement was made during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct on Wednesday, 2 April. The game will be launched exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. No exact date has been revealed yet.

From the trailer released, The Duskbloods will most likely have the same gameplay as the Souls series, with a sprinkle of Bloodborne's faster-paced gameplay. Some kind of defensive action has also been revealed, as the player character is able to block a giant axe attack from the enemy.

The trailer also reveals that some kind of multiplayer elements will be available for players to use, although it hasn't been revealed how it will affect gameplay.

While the official synopsis hasn't been revealed yet, the teaser trailer spills some clues regarding the setting. It will most likely have steampunk and gothic elements to it, with the vampire theme and steam engine in the environment shared within the trailer.

This is the second game that FromSoftware will release on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Previously, the developer has also shared that Elden Ring, specifically its Tarnished Edition, is also coming to the console.
