Tony Hawk’s classic skateboarding games are back with new remakes.

Activision has finally confirmed that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 are returning as a bundle of remakes. The classic skateboarding games have been remade and repackaged as a single title called Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4, featuring all-new skaters, new songs, and brand-new parks. Additionally, anyone who purchases the game’s Deluxe Edition will receive access to two special guest skaters: the Doom Slayer and the Revenant from id Software’s Doom franchise.

Here’s the reveal trailer:

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 get full-blown remakes

Tony Hawk and Activision have announced that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 are getting full-blown remakes, adding a modern flourish to the iconic skateboarding games. According to Activision, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 blends “the classic content that fans loved in the 2000s with new offerings, including new skaters, gnarlier tricks, an even sicker soundtrack, and, for the first time in 10 years – brand-new parks!”

You’ll hear fan-favourite songs from the original games like Motorhead’s Ace of Spades, Adolescents’ Amoeba, Gang Starr’s Mass Appeal, and more, along with “new tracks that capture the spirit of modern skate culture.” That means you'll be getting modern additions to the soundtrack, too.

The game’s playable roster will include Tony Hawk, Bucky Lasek, Steve Caballero, Kareem Campbell, Geoff Rowley, Andrew Reynolds, Elissa Steamer, Chad Muska, Eric Koston, Rodney Mullen, Jamie Thomas, Rune Glifberg, and Bob Burnquist, plus new skaters, including Rayssa Leal, Chloe Covell, Jamie Foy, Zion Wright, and Yuto Horigome.

The remakes will also feature cross-platform online multiplayer for up to eight skaters.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 Deluxe Edition adds a Doom crossover

Activision also announced details for the game’s Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes a surprising crossover with id Software’s Doom Franchise. Doom developer id and game publisher Activision both fall under the Xbox Game Studios umbrella, in case you’re wondering if there’s a connection there. The Doom Slayer/Doomguy was also originally included in the PC version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. Referencing this strange time in the space marine's history, his skateboard was left in Doom Eternal as an easter egg.

The Digital Deluxe Edition will include Doom Slayer and Revenant as playable skaters in-game, along with skate decks, Create-a-Skater items, and more Doom songs for the soundtrack. Players will also get access to the game three days early.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 launches on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch on 11 July, 2025.
