S-rank Anby is coming to Zenless Zone Zero.
Game developer HoYoverse has unveiled Zenless Zone Zero’s upcoming Version 1.6 update, which adds two new playable characters to the game: S-Rank characters Soldier 0 Anby and Trigger. This update also adds two rerun banners, allowing players to pull for either Burnice or Zhu Yuan. Before we dive into all of this update’s new content however, don’t forget to redeem the livestream’s redemption code for a bunch of free Polychromes, Dennies and more:

Zenless Zone Zero 1.6 new banners: Soldier 0 Anby, Pulchra, and Trigger (and Burnice and Zhu Yuan)
Soldier 11 fans, your time has finally come. The playable Agent will finally get some new lore in Zenless Zone Zero’s new story update, which adds missions centered around Anby, Soldier 11 and Trigger. Additionally, the update will involve potential upcoming characters Vivian and Hugo, two characters the game has teased via previous updates and teaser videos.
Headlining this update are, as always, two S-rank banners. The first of these is Soldier 0 Anby, an S-rank version of the Cunning Hares Agent who's donned a new outfit from her old days of serving with Soldier 11 in the Obol Squad. Soldier 0 Anby is an Electric Attack Agent, capable of dealing massive amounts of damage by dealing Aftershock and amplifying her allies' critical damage. Soldier 0 Anby will be available in the first half of this update, joined by a rerun banner for Burnice.
The A-Rank Agent Pulchra is also returning in this update, fresh from an encounter with the Sons of Calydon last year. This Physical Stun Agent excels in Aftershock attacks, with the ability to deal more Daze damage when she builds up a special meter. Here’s the kicker: she’s free to claim by completing this update’s events!
Obol Squad’s ace sniper Trigger is an Electric Stun Agent, making a good pair with S-rank Anby. She can enter a sniper mode to fire off shots at enemies from afar to reveal weaknesses, applying a debuff that allows other Agents to deal more damage. She can swiftly evade enemy attacks in this mode and call other teammates in for a Quick Assist. Trigger will be available in the back half of this banner, joined by Zhu Yuan as a rerun banner.
Zenless Zone Zero 1.6’s new modes and changes
Soldier 0 Anby and Trigger are both getting specific Agent stories in this update, allowing players to get to know these Agents better outside of the main story. A shooting gallery-like minigame is also coming in Version 1.6 for Pulchra, along with a top-down mode that turns Bangboos into dangerous attack drones. Corin will also ask the Proxy for help to investigate a HIA-related haunting, in a fun callback to the Victoria Housekeeping-specific chapter of the main story.
More quality-of-life updates are coming to character progression screens to make levelling up more seamless, among other changes. Read more on Version 1.6's content here. Zenless Zone Zero’s second major update of 2025 will launch on 12 March, 2025.
