Iansan is finally coming to Genshin Impact's version 5.5 update as a playable character.
Iansan has been a well-known character who has sparked the intrigue of many fans since her existence was hinted at back in 2020, thanks to the Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview: Travail video. Finally, after 5 years of waiting, she's finally becoming playable!
Iansan will wield the Electro element, and may possibly have a 5-star rarity considering her prominence during the Natlan storyline, and as the bearer of the Ancient Name ‘Uwezo’. A weapon is yet to be confirmed for her, but considering how she uses her fists to fight, she might well be a catalyst-user similar to Shikanoin Heizou and Wriothesly. We'll have to wait for further confirmation in the coming weeks.
Besides being one of the chosen warriors of Mavuika and one of the key people who helped stave off the abyssal invasion that threatened Natlan, Iansan is also well-regarded as a fitness coach/trainer from Teteocan, with the recently drip-marketed Varesa being one of her students. Iansan also hails from the Collective of Plenty, and boasts an impressive strength unlikened to her small form, spawning awe and respect from the people who train under her. Iansan believes in her students' potential and does her best to bring out their shine, even going so far as to challenge them in their favourite workouts to push them beyond their limits.
The Traveler and Paimon have a high regard for Iansan, and even Mavuika has great trust in her. Iansan may be small, but her power can rival even the most challenging of foes. Genshin Impact is currently in the first half of Version 5.4, with new character Yumemizuki Mizuki headlining the banners alongside Sigewinne.
