With Honkai Star Rail version 2.6 right around the corner, developer HoYoverse has detailed the new features and optimisations in store for players.
Honkai: Star Rail is set to make itself even more player-friendly with its upcoming version 2.6 update. Developer HoYoverse broke down the quality-of-life changes coming in the game's next version in the version 2.6 “Voice of the Galaxy" blog post on Tuesday (October 15).
Past event-exclusive Light Cones to be made available in the Herta Store
You read that right! If you missed event-exclusive Light Cones because you’re either a returning player or a newbie, you will soon be able to get your hands on them through the Simulated Universe's Herta Store by using Herta Bonds.
The Light Cones available will be as follows:
- Before the Tutorial Mission Starts (Nihility)
- Hey, Over Here (Abundance)
- For Tomorrow’s Journey (Harmony)
The corresponding Superimposition materials for these Light Cones will also be available for refinement. The event-exclusive Light Cones will be priced at 4 Herta Bonds each, with their corresponding Superimposition materials costing 1 Herta Bond each. This brings the total cost to max out one of the event-exclusive Light Cones to 8 Herta Bonds, much cheaper compared to the 16 Herta Bond cost for maxing out one of the 5-star Light Cones in the Herta Store.
Now, if only Genshin Impact can go the same route… Genshin when?
Relic-System Improvements
The menu for Relics will also receive optimisations, including:
- Relic Set Filtering Interface optimisations - Trailblazers can now choose Cavern Relics or Planar Ornaments more clearly,
- Relic Main Stats Filtering Optimisations - Trailblazers can now freely select main stats of Head and Hands Relics based on their needs.
- Relic Synthesis / Salvage Simplification - The Relic Switch Interface will have an added option to view Relic Acquisition methos, as well as a direct access button to the Relic Synthesis window.
Other Optimisations
Besides event-exclusive Light Cones being made available in the Herta Store and some major improvements for the Relic System, here are some of the other updates that Trailblazers will encounter in version 2.6 and other future updates:
- Redundant game resources will be removed, leading to a more optimised and storage-friendly game package size,
- A red notification reminder will appear in the “Phone-Avatar” segment upon obtaining a new Avatar,
- Max-Level traces will be easily viewed with the addition of a new button when previewing character details on the Warp and Aptitude Showcase event pages.
Honkai: Star Rail version 2.6 will be released on October 23 with a new 5-star character in Rappa, a new Trailblaze Continuance Mission that sees the Astral Express Crew return to Penacony, a new Simulated Universe game mode, and more. And after Honkai: Star Rail version 2.6 comes version 2.7 in December, which will feature the release of two highly-anticipated 5-star characters in Sunday and Tingyun's ‘Fugue’ form.
